Delivering on the promise of IoT necessitates trusted relationships between secure devices and associated services. Secure devices, designed from inception to meet varying security requirements, will bring confidence throughout the IoT value chain, enabling the vision of IoT scaling to trillions of connected devices.
This presentation will look at some of the vulnerabilities facing IoT security and describe how comprehensive threat modelling, alongside a common standardised approach can help to mitigate against these attacks. We will also explore how the Arm Platform Security Architecture demystifies security, bringing an industry-wide, common foundation to establishing secure IoT devices.
Speaker Biography (Andrew Frame)
Andrew Frame is a Director of Business Development within the Arm IoT Device IP Line of Business, and is responsible for Silicon Partner, Cloud, ISV, and OEM engagement. Andrew's previous roles within Arm include Cortex-M Product Management, Worldwide Business Development Manager and Development Tools Product Manager. Prior to joining Arm in 1995 he was an Embedded Software Engineer at GEC Plessey Telecommunications. Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Studies from Sheffield Hallam University.
