Today, stretchable systems are mainly fabricated in complex and costly vacuum and lithography processes. However, the proposed approach based on low-cost printing processes enables the wider exploitation of the results. This presentation focuses on recent development in printed sensors and interconnects for on-skin electronics and soft-robotics
Speaker Biography (Matti Mantysalo)
Professor, Academy of Finland research fellow, Dr. Matti Mäntysalo, is Professor in Electronics materials and manufacturing, Academy of Finland Research Fellow (epidermal electronics), and he has awarded with Adjunct Professor in Digital fabrication. His research interests include printed electronics materials, fabrication processes, pre- and post-treatments, reliability and failure analyses, and especially stretchable and wearable electronics and integration of printed electronics with conventional silicon-based technology (Hybrid Printed Electronics).
Mäntysalo is active member in IEEE Electronic Packaging Society, IEC TC119 Printed electronics standardization, and had been the spokesperson of Hybrid System working group in Organic Electronic Association. He has more than 100 peer reviewed scientific journal and conference publications.
