The advantages of ceramic-based Li-ion cells for future electrochemical energy storage include potentially high energy and power density, as well as improved safety and sustainability. In this presentation the current state of research, challenges and prospects in the development of all-solid state Li-ion batteries will be addressed.
Speaker Biography (Yulia Arinicheva)
Yulia Arinicheva is a postdoc at the Institute of Energy and Climate Research (IEK-1), Forschungszentrum Jülich, where she is developing ceramic-based Li-ion cells for future electrochemical energy storage. Her research background combines chemistry and materials science with a focus on environmentally friendly energy applications. Previously she worked on the production of fuel components from biomass at the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow as part of her Master's program in Environmental Chemistry. Afterwards she studied chemistry at RWTH Aachen University, in a master's degree program with specialization in materials science. While pursuing her doctoral degree at Forschungszentrum Jülich, she specialized in phosphate ceramics for nuclear waste immobilisation.
