Nadia Tsao has a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Cambridge, and a BSE in Chemical and Biological Engineering from Princeton University, where she also minored in Engineering Biology and Materials Science Engineering.
Nadia's previous research explored the use of hybrid materials for healthcare applications. At Princeton, she improved low cost ceramic water filters for the removal of bacterial and viral contamination in drinking water. During her PhD, Nadia's work spanned the fields of chemistry, materials science, engineering, and biology. She developed and tested enzyme-degradable polymer/silica hybrid microbubbles for dual use as ultrasound contrast agents and as drug delivery vehicles to achieve targeted drug delivery.
Prior to IDTechEx, Nadia was an Associate Consultant at Cambridge Healthcare Research. She has consulted on projects involving medical devices such as autoinjectors, inhalers, and diagnostics, and has expertise in the therapeutic areas of regenerative medicine, haematology-oncology, and rheumatology.
