Electric Vehicle Roadmap for China & India

Forum 2 | 3 December | 12:45pm-3:00pm

This forum is intended for those who already understand the basics of EV powertrains: 48V mild hybrid, parallel and series full hybrid, including fuel cell hybrid and pure electric. The forum goes deeper into the markets but particularly the technology. It helps you to understand how EV technology will reflect changing choices of vehicle. For example, the move to cities and internet shopping will reduce car demand and increase demand for pure electric delivery trucks.  Pollution means even the largest delivery trucks are electrifying and fuel cell versions are currently winning here. There are ten times as many trucks as buses in the world so trucks will, at last, come center stage in EV technology applications. Aircraft and the construction/agriculture/mining sector will become large, exceptionally profitable EV markets with special technological requirements. There will be three times as many solar robot weeders as e-bikes in the world and the largest, most expensive EV powertrains on land will be in mining. Overlaid on all this is the evolution that applies to all of them such as proliferation of self-powered sensors, batteries becoming less of the cost and new types of proliferating motor-generators and power electronics becoming much more of the cost. The transition from components-in-a-box to structural electronics, electrics, magnetics and optics also applies to everything. Learn who, where, why, when and how, including the vital position of China in all this.

For those attending.
