Allan Macrae is the Software Engineering Director for Smith & Nephew, joining the Advanced Wound Management Division based in Hull in February. He is responsible for software development in the embedded devices and digital areas of Advanced Wound Management.

Allan has over 14 years' experience in Medical devices having worked at Johnson & Johnson Diabetes Franchise and has previously worked for Motorola in Automotive, GEC-Marconi/BAE Systems in defence as well as a short spell in construction in Thailand. Allan has a BEng in Electronics Engineering and has worked primarily in software on embedded devices, PC applications, Mobile apps and Web portals.
