Dr. Sonia Sousa is Co-Founder and CEO of Kenzen of San Francisco, a pioneer in wearable diagnostics based on non-invasive sweat analysis. Sonia is committed to advancing precision medicine and preventing avoidable health conditions through wearable diagnostics that are clinically relevant, and meaningful to people. Key to the precision health movement will be data platforms that go deep to measure the body's true state of health by featuring continuous monitoring combined with machine learning. This will give the healthcare industry the impetus to invest in improving preventative care as patient populations thrive.
Dr. Sousa has served in executive roles for top biotech and technology companies. She was GM for the Bio-Product Division at Solazyme and served as DuPont's Global R&D director. Sonia has achieved 15 issued/pending patents in photonics, predictive models, lasers, spectroscopy, CCD sensors, and renewable performance polymers, in the United States and worldwide. Sonia holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, a PhD in Photonics and Neural Networks from Utah State University, and a BS in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
