Dr. Beatrice Beyer has been director of product innovation since 2017. She received the master's degree in Chemistry from the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena, Germany, in 2008 after spending a year for the master thesis at the Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands, where she focused on OLED emitter materials. After that she performed her PhD thesis in Physics at the Institute of Applied Photophysics of the Technical University Dresden and finalized it 2013 about various architectural approaches for the absorption layer and their impact on organic solar cells. Between 2009 and 2017, she worked for the Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology (FEP), Germany. Her tasks included the development and integration of organic electronics, process modification for thin film depositions, spectroscopic and chemical characterization of thin organic and inorganic layers, optical simulations of photonic devices, life cycle assessment of new process steps and standardization activities of characterization techniques.
As IPMA certified project manager she coordinated several R&D projects, among others the large IP project GLADIATOR with focus on graphene production technologies.
