TCF Live

This international conference and tradeshow will cover all the applications and latest technology developments of Transparent Conductive Films, featuring Touch Surfaces.

What to Expect at the Conference

Transparent conductive films (TCF) are widely used in the electronics industry. Their main applications today are LCD panels and flat screens, electroluminescent (EL) lamps, LEDs and touch panels. There are various materials available for this purpose, the main ones being inorganic transparent conductive oxides (TCOs), organic materials, carbon-based materials, and metals in form of grids or nanoform.

Touch screens are the third biggest application of TCF with Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) still being the first choice material, esp. for the transparent top electrod. However, for several reasons, it is not the ideal candidate, which is why alternative materials, such as condutive polymers, carbon nanotubes (CNT), graphene and metal nano-wires are being evaluated and some have been demonstrated successfully, already.

Adding haptic and sound feedback to touch screens using electro active polymers (EAPs) will be the next big trend for this sector. How this can work together with the other parts of the device, like the transparent conductor, will be a featured topic at TCF LIVE!

Our audience will develop a comprehensive yet detailed understanding of the state of different technologies and market per tranparent conductive films (TCF) application area. The conference will cover all promising applications of TCF, including replacement of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO), touch screens, sensors and beyond.

Uniquely, you will hear the full story per market segment. Potential end-users and investors will initially outline the opportunities, requirements, scaling concerns, price points, etc. Academics/experts and suppliers will then discuss the latest progress and challenges facing TCF per application area.

Companies targeting each TCF application area will then present their technology, target markets, business strategy, progress, etc. Here, we will also include companies developing a suitable manufacturing technique for that application. This will include players commercialising inorganic and organic as well as un-patterned and patterened transparent conductive films etc. Finally, you will hear views from player(s) from the incumbent and/or rival technology area where appropriate.

The event brings together users, material providers, equipment makers, policymakers, academics and investors from around the world. Going away from this conference, you will know the key players in the TCF space and you will develop a critical assessment of the latest opportunities, developments, and challenges for all potential markets for transparent conductive films.
