High strength is one of the most interesting properties of graphene. New metallurgical fabrication method of large-area graphene enabled significant improvement of stability and durability of graphene structures. Comparison of tensile elongation of commercially available CVD graphene and HSMG® samples (High Strength Metallurgical Graphene) showed significant differences both in fracture mechanisms and loss of electrical connection. Application of HSMG® in sensory analysis and photovoltaics have shown that HSMG® enhances an overall performance of fabricated devices. An overview of our manufacturing technique, graphene materials as well as prototype devices will be presented.
