Dave is a long time IBMer who started on the mainframe with CICS and has worked he way down to the tiny world of sensors and actuators. For many years he has enjoyed playing in what is today called the Internet of Things (IoT). Connecting up "Things" is not new or novel but the approach taken and emerging technologies enable a vast range of new and innovative uses. Dave is an evangelist for IoT both in business helping to build IBM's IoT ecosystem and outside in education and for fun. His day job focuses on connecting as much silicon as possible in an open, inter-operable, scaleable and secure manner.
