Revolutionizing Roll-to-Roll Manufacturing Of Fully Printed Organic Electronics With In-Line Metrology And Control In Automatic Decision-Making Process

OET brings solar and lighting innovation products on plastics by providing flexible OPV panels and OLEDs manufactured by fully Roll-to-Roll printing processes into Pilot and Production Printing lines combined by in-line pulse laser scribing technology, robust in-line optical metrology and in-line ink-jet printing system level-architectures. Since the process scaling of Printed Organic Electronics induce many challenges on product delivery, OET has a holistic approach to move up the manufacturing maturity curve to Industry4.0. In this work, we described the latest innovations on the development of a robust feedback and control Platform to connect the in-line metrology tools with the R2R processes to achieve automatic control of the manufacturing process and predictive/preventive corrections to the R2R manufacturing of OPVs and OLEDs.
Dr. Pechlivani is the Project Manager of Organic Electronic Technologies (OET), responsible for writing project proposals, managing and leading project's actions and coordinating critical path activities in support of the innovations and R&D team development and commercialization of new products and revitalizing existing products. She has successfully participated in several R&D projects: 2 Horizon2020 (NMBP-07-2017: CORNET, no.760949, FOF-08-2017: SmartLine, no.768707), 3 FP7 (NMP.2012.1.4-1: SMARTONICS, no.310229, NMP.2013.4.0-1: GLADIATOR, no.604000, REGPOT-2011-1: ROLEMak, no.286022) and 7 NSRF. She was for 10 years scientist researcher at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and from 2016 has joined OET team which works in close collaboration with Nanotechnology Lab LTFN of AUTh. She is specialized in growth of inorganic and organic thin films by Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and wet processes and in manufacturing of Organic Photovoltaics (OPVs) and Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs). In addition, she has extensive experience in structural and electrical characterization of semiconducting materials and on Organic Electronics performance.
