Cambridge is home to many technology companies, and we will be offering tours to the following companies on the Masterclass days:

Marshall Aerospace |

12.45pm - 2.15pm
Marshall Aerospace (MA) is the UK largest independent aero maintenance and repair organization (MRO) with facilities covering over 1.2 million square feet. The tour will take personnel through the vast hangars where large military transport aircraft are stripped down for repair, overhaul and upgrading. Time permitting the tour may also include a visit to the manufacturing facility where large metal sections for various aircraft are milled out of solid metal.

Conductive Inkjet Technologies (CIT) |

CIT has fully developed the process of inkjet printing electronic circuitry and now offers both Contract Manufacturing (sheet and reel) as well as Technology Transfer Services.
The tour will be able to see the World's First Reel to Reel Volume Production of Inkjet Printed Electronics Products. CIT will be demonstrating their new Contract Manufacturing Service in their new clean facility. Delegates will see reel to reel production, 1 meter square flat bed production as well as laboratory deposition systems for prototyping.

Centre for Advanced Photonics and Electronics (CAPE) |

CAPE is a collaboration between academics and commercial enterprises, researching into advanced photonics and electronics. The centre has many activities with the following technology focuses:Communications;
Materials and processing;
Displays and display systems;
Energy and the environment.
The visit to examine the research at Cambridge University CAPE will be hosted by Dr Andrew Flewitt. It will cover work relevant to piezoelectrics, photovoltaics, energy management and batteries as well as other aspects.
