This event will take advantage of being located in Santa Clara and the Bay Area - a center of excellence for organic and printed electronics - by hosting tours to some of the leading organizations working on this technology in this region. Places on these tours are limited and are offered to attendees on the masterclasses first.

The FUJIFILM Dimatix tour provides an overview of the company, its products and its people with a walk-through of its manufacturing facility.

Kateeva has pioneered a new inkjet printing manufacturing equipment solution that will enable OLEDs to be produced over large areas and in high volume - with longer lifetimes, higher yields and lower costs. Our approach solves key manufacturing challenges that have previously prevented the well-proven inkjet printing technique from scaling to the large areas required for high-volume printing of OLED displays. Using Kateeva production worthy printing techniques enables OLED display manufacturers to fabricate superior-quality low-cost OLED displays meeting the performance demands of the display industry.

Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Silicon Valley, our team is staffed by OLED, ink and printing experts, as well as experienced semiconductor and FPD equipment executives. We are well positioned to enable the affordable manufacturing of OLED displays, with their incredible clarity, performance and low-power advantages.

Tour Highlights:

The tour of the Kateeva facility will include the following:

  1. Window tour of OLED cleanroom. The primary purpose of the OLED cleanroom is to finish devices in which the charge transport and emitting layers are deposited by ink jet printing. This facility includes vacuum deposition tools as well as spin coating and characterization tools.
  2. Tour of ink jet printing R+D laboratory. This laboratory contains multiple R+D tools manufactured by Kateeva for OLED process development. Details of the tool capabilities will be discussed during the tour.
  3. Viewing of Gen8 manufacturing tool. Kateeva is building a Gen8 ink jet printing tool (2.2m x 2.5m substrate size). A basic description of this manufacturing tool will be given and capabilities highlighted.
  4. Chemistry laboratory. Kateeva formulates OLED inks - a brief description of Kateeva capabilities will be described.
