The promise of printed electronics is the production of electronic components on various substrates with low process temperature and adaptable layouts thus creating thinner and lighter components at lower costs. However, in order to keep this promise, every customer need requires a dedicated or tailor-made solution. Polymers are the basis for these solutions since the polymeric film can be flexible, stretchable or even thermoformable and can be adapted to special substrates such as different plastics or paper.

ELANTAS has been serving the electrical and electronics industry with special polymer chemistry for electrical insulation for more than 100 years. The Product Line Printed Electronics uses this expertise to create functional electronic inks for special costumer needs.

This talk outlines the recent developments of ELANTAS on transparent conductive inks as well as conductive and insulating inks such as UV-curable silver inks, which allow both high printing speed and high accuracy of repeated prints, thermoformable silver inks, and inks with high thermal shock and heat stability.

Started as a technical engineer in the field of print and media 2004 I was working for a family run company for 13 years in Hanover/ Germany.

As a technical sales manager for graphic industries and responsible for UV and conventional Offset inks I have visited and supported customers worldwide especially in the Asian and European market. Since June 2019 I am happy to work for ELANTAS Europe GmbH which is a Member of the ALTANA Group. The printed electronics Part will be one of the future technology's and will change a lot of business units like never before. I am happy to be a part of this great possibility. For ELANTAS Europe I will do all technical sales support customer need from us.
