Thomas Herbst is Director Strategic Market Development in the IoT Services Group of Arm Holdings. He previously held engineering leadership roles in Cisco Systems and Silver Spring Networks. Thomas has been an active contributor in a variety of US and international standards bodies and alliances, including the Internet Engineering Task Force, Zigbee Alliance, IEEE P2030, IEEE 802, Wi-SUN Alliance, WiFi Alliance, the Telecommunications Industry Alliance, and the IEC. Thomas is also a past board of directors member in the Internet Protocol for Smart Objects (IPSO), Wi-SUN Alliance, and the US Smart Grid Interoperability Panel. He is a current board of directors member of the SunSpec Alliance and is a member of the Corporate Advisory Group of the IEEE-SA.
