Primo1D is pionneering new RFID applications thanks to its E-Thread technology, an elegant, simple and robust micro-encapsulation of electronic circuits in a unique form factor. An easy embedding into materials is possible, without altering the integrity of the product. The native ID links the connected everyday object to the IoT.
Daniele Sette received his M.S. degree in nanotechnologies from Grenoble INP, and Ph.D. degree in material science in 2014 from Université de Grenoble Alpes for his research in CEA-Tech on printed electronics. From 2015 to 2017, he was a post-doctoral fellow at Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology. He focused his research on additive manufacturing of thin films materials and prototyping of piezo devices. Daniele is currently Lead Product Engineer in Primo1D company in Grenoble, France.
Founded in 2013 by a seasoned management team, Primo1D is a spin-off of the famous French R&D lab CEA-Leti. Our E-Thread™ technology brings a disruptive way for a seamless, invisible and durable integration of electronics into textile and plastic materials. After a first fundraising of 2M€ in 2014, the start-up industrialized successfully its first product, an RFID-UHF tag in a yarn, enabling enhanced traceability of connected garments, as well as anti-theft and authentication.
