How the Home of Graphene has adapted its capabilities and resources to reflect the needs of industry for accelerated development of graphene products and processes through the National Graphene Institute (NGI) and the Graphene Engineering Innovation Centre (GEIC).
Phil has led the Carbon Science CoE for Morgan Advanced Materials in the Innovation Park at Penn State since its inception in 2017. The CoE team is developing materials solutions to support Morgan's global carbon-based businesses for a variety of on-going and future applications in various growth markets, including advanced automotive and rail transportation, power generation and storage, semi-conductors and power electronics. Prior to Morgan, Phil led global R&D teams for over 20 years at Air Products and Chemicals developing catalysts, process equipment and design, and ceramic materials and device fabrication. He holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
