Review of OLED lighting advancement since first introduction of commercial luminaire products, recent notable material and panel architecture improvements, and introducing a luminaire design paradigm based on hybrid OLEDs/LEDs.
Mike received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University where his dissertation centered on microcavity effects in OLEDs. He was a Senior Scientist at Universal Display Corporation. Mike joined Acuity Brands Lighting in April 2010 where he is currently Director, R&D Engineering the innovation Group. He is Lighting Certified. Mike has over 70 journal publications and conference presentations in areas related to OLED device, displays and lighting. He is a co-inventor on more than 25 issued US patents.
