As a 30+ year veteran of the technology industry, Mike Toutonghi has been a serial entrepreneur and intrapreneur throughout his career. From his first 3D CAD systems integrator startup in 1982, through founding and leading the eHome Division at Microsoft, Mike has held senior management and inventor positions from CEO to Corporate Vice President to Technical Fellow, focused in each role on making technology easier and more useful for everyone. Mike is inventor or co-inventor on 29 issued patents, plus pending patents on Functionalize Inc.'s nano-material synthesis and polymer technology.

 

Mike started Functionalize in the pursuit of enabling printed electrical circuits on today's common 3D printers. In doing so, he pursued his lifelong interest in and personal study of chemistry, succeeding in inventing, filing for patents, and bringing to production the first 3D printing filament conductive enough to easily print general, TTL compatible circuits.

 

As the CEO of Functionalize Inc., Mike works to enable its vision of "concept to fully functional part, 3D printed in your home or business."

From research to manufacture, Functionalize creates advanced functional materials for 3D printing and other uses ahead in the emerging "Personal Industrial Revolution".

 

Our flagship product, F-Electric® filament, is a breakthrough for 3D printing: The first highly conductive thermoplastic enabling direct 3D printing of complete electrical circuits, sockets, switches, buttons and connectors.

 

Beyond F-Electric®, Functionalize has developed a patent-pending chemical and nanomaterial oriented development platform to create many types of new materials 'makers' and businesses will use to create functional products.
