The WEAR Scale is a predictive tool that measures the social acceptability of any wearable device or prototype. Dr. Kelly will provide the 14-question WEAR Scale along with instructions for its use. She'll also discuss the scale's development, explain its two critical factors, and provide data on some current wearables.
Norene Kelly received her doctorate in Human Computer Interaction from Iowa State University and her work researching and developing the WEAR Scale received a Research Excellence Award. She has implemented various methods of research to improve user experience in a number of industries.
