Touch is an essential component of realizing the enterprise potential of virtual and augmented reality. In this presentation, attendees will learn how microfluidic haptic technology can deliver high fidelity touch and motion and enable numerous applications in design, manufacturing, training, and entertainment across a broad base of industries from medical to military.
Dr. Bob Crockett co-founded HaptX with Jake Rubin and is Professor and Chair of the Biomedical Engineering Department at Cal Poly. With over 20 years' experience in systems engineering and technology development, Bob now guides HaptX's hardware development.
With its HaptX® technology, AxonVR is bringing touch to virtual reality for the first time. The patented technology lets users feel the shape, movement, texture, and temperature of digital objects. By providing advanced haptic feedback and natural interaction, HaptX enables unprecedented levels of realism in virtual experiences.
Founded by Jake Rubin and Dr. Bob Crockett in 2012, AxonVR is a multidisciplinary team of engineers based in San Luis Obispo, CA and Seattle, WA.
