Flexible Electronics with Submicron Patterns Fully Printed by R2R Process.
Estrel Convention Center, Berlin, Germany
15:00 - 15:20
In commercializing flexible electronics, at low cost, the key technology is Roll-to-Roll (R2R) manufacturing process. We have developed an SRM (Seamless Roller Mold) which has high resolution pattern on large area, that can be used for printing & imprinting. In this presentation, we would like to introduce the SRM's fabrication process, pattern variation, and example of film products for flexible electronics. In addition, we would like to share our road map for future products and technologies
Yushi Matsushita is one of the major members of Flexible Electronics Development Team. He joined Asahi Kasei in 2013, and now developing printing technology for flexible electronics. On the other hand, he has been working on AI, and developed his original Deep Leaning image inspection system for Asahi Kasei's medical device.
Founded in 1922, the Asahi Kasei Group is a diversified manufacturer centered on chemistry. Throughout more than nine decades of growth, we have continued to proactively diversify and adapt our operating portfolio to changes in the economy, changes in society, and changes in the environment. We are now a major global enterprise with operations in the four business sectors of Chemicals & Fibers, Housing & Construction Materials, Electronics, and Health Care and having consolidated annual sales of some $18 billion with 29 thousand employees and 130 consolidated subsidiaries.
