Haptic technology has been dominated by ERMs (eccentric rotating mass ) for several decades. ERMS no longer meet OEM' s ever demanding requirements for better user interfaces. Film based haptic actuators are thin, lightweight, and flexible, making them suitable to create localised and high definition haptic sensation on the surface of any device.
