Fundamental Design Issues for the Future Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructures (Electric Vehicles Land, Sea & Air Europe 2011)

Dr. Sahinoglu joined Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs in March 2001 where he is currently with the Digital Communications and Networking Group. His current research interests include advanced signal processing for smart grid, smart grid standards, electric vehicle charging infrastructure solutions, UWB localization, space-time-adaptive processing and reliable wireless communication. He has published more than 60 journals, books, book chapters and conference papers in the relevant topics. He has significant contributions to MPEG-21, ZigBee, IEEE 802.15.4a and IEEE 802.15.4e standards as technical editor, and he is a voting member in NIST SGIP and IEEE P2030 standards. He holds 2 European and 30 US patents, and has 16 pending. He is an IEEE senior member.

Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories is the North American arm of the Corporate R&D organization of the Mitsubishi Electric Corporation. As an open corporate lab, MERL collaborate with other research organizations, and conduct application motivated basic research and advanced development in the areas of digital communications, multimedia, data analytics, imaging, mechatronics and algorithms.
