Presentation Summary

Digitalization and IoT have been around for a couple of years now. The promises of earning new business are big. However, turning ideas and concepts into practice addressing real customer needs remains a challenge. Often, we miss the right information to solve technical customer problems. Appropriate sensing solutions are key to obtain the missing information. This talk will look at system solutions going from the information source up to the cloud. It focuses on the requirements and challenges in providing scalable sensing systems. This includes hardware related topics like e.g. power consumption as well as software related ones associated with introduction of AI in distributed sensing systems. Examples from smart production and smart buildings will be presented.

Speaker Biography (Ulf Ahrend)
