Speaker Biography (Robert J. Trew)Dr. Robert J. Trew is currently the Lancaster Distinguished Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh. Since May 2009 he has been serving as the Division Director of the Electrical, Communications, and Cyber-Systems Division in the Engineering Directorate of the National Science Foundation. He previously served as Director of Research for the U.S. Department of Defense, during which time he served as Vice-Chair of the U.S. Government interagency committee that planned the U.S. National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI). Dr. Trew is a Fellow of the IEEE and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Proceedings.
