Speaker Biography (Stefan Ikelman)

Stefan Ikelman joined Marlow in August 2010 to expand the Power Generation market space for thermoelectrics, which spans the sub-categories of Energy Harvesting (microwatts to watts of power harnessed from small temperature differences for wireless sensors, actuators and other micro devices), Waste Heat Recovery (larger scale power systems (up to kW level) to harness energy from exhaust or other fluid streams), Direct Generation (burning fuel purposely to create heat for thermoelectric power generation), and Co-Generation (thermoelectrics paired with existing heat sources to power a complementary appliance to improve total performance). In addition, coinciding with Marlow Industries' continued focus on global thermoelectric technology advancement and systems development, Stefan Ikelman is also responsible for unearthing new opportunities for government and privately funded research contracts to further this objective. Before joining Marlow, Stefan spent 13 years in Texas Instruments' Digital Light Processing (DLP)® group, where he was responsible for managing several top customer accounts, in addition to helping set up their DLP Products® factories in locations around the globe. He also developed and championed a customer satisfaction and quality improvement program adopted division-wide, after originally joining as a Quality & Reliability Assurance engineer. Stefan is a graduate of New Mexico State University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with both manufacturing and automotive concentration.
