Speaker Biography (Andre Moreira)

André Moreira joined BASF Venture Capital as Investment Manager in March 2006.
 
 
In August 2003 he joined the Polymer Research Division of BASF AG in Ludwigshafen (Germany) as a scientist with responsibilities in the field of polymer cellular materials, with focus on novel nanoporous foams.
 
Prior to that, André worked as a post-doctoral research fellow at the Materials Research Laboratory at the University of California, Santa
Barbara (USA) and the Max-Planck-Institute for Colloids and Interfaces in Golm (Germany). He obtained his PhD from University of Potsdam (Germany) in 2001, specializing on Statistical Mechanics of charged system.
