Speaker Biography (Axel Steinhage)Dr. Axel Steinhage is Director R&D at Future-Shape GmbH, Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn, Germany since 2006. From 2001 to 2005 he lead the Man-Machine-Interaction group as a Senior Staff Engineer at the Corporate Research Department of Infineon Technologies AG, Munich. Between 1997 and 2000 he worked as a Postdoc and leader of the Anthropomorphic Robotics Group and the Behavioural Dynamics Group at the Institute for Neuroinformatics in Bochum, Germany and at the CNRS in Marseille, France. In 1997 he received a doctor's degree in theoretical physics. Dr. Steinhage has written over 60 international publications in the research fields of robotics, neurobiology, navigation, dynamical systems, speech recognition, image processing, remote sensing, mobile communication and ambient assisted living.
