Presentation Summary

  • materials research for flexible polymer solar cells
  • advantages and room for improvements of low-bandgap polymers
  • development of single processing steps with a laboratory reel-to-reel wet coating machine

Speaker Biography (Steffi Sensfuss)

Steffi Sensfuss received the diploma in Organic Chemistry in 1983 and a doctorate degree in 1987 in Polymer Chemistry under the mentorship of Dr. Elisabeth Klemm in the group of Prof. Hörhold at University of Jena. During this time the main research activities were the development of optical adhesives and dental materials. Since 1998 she works at the TITK in the group of Prof. Heinemann. The main research activities are now in the field of applied research of conducting polymers. Presently she heads the activities of TITK group for polymer solar cells and polymer gel electrolytes for dye-sensitized solar cells.

Company Profile (Thuringian Institute for Textile and Plastics Research TITK)
