Les micro-véhicules électriques prédisent un succès retentissant pour les petits véhicules

The EV revolution is not limited to just cars, and as more mobility sectors begin to electrify, small vehicles like scooters, motorcycles, three-wheelers, and microcars are primed to join in as well. These small electric vehicles - or micro EVs - play a major role in the transport makeup of dense urban areas, especially in Asia where tiny vehicles have long been incredibly popular.

Micro EVs are ideal targets for electrification: they are mostly used for short trips in city centers and at low speeds, requiring smaller batteries and less expensive motors. Regulation is also now in place to further push the uptake of micro EVs. All of this together has led to over 1 in 4 two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and microcar sales being EVs in 2023. However, IDTechEx forecasts that there is still room for growth in the micro EV landscape, with urban congestion, government legislation, developments in battery technologies, and shifting cost trends all set to play a role.

In this webinar, IDTechEx will share research findings from its new "Micro EVs 2025-2045: Electric Two-Wheelers, Three-Wheelers, and Microcars" report, detailing how micro EVs will grow to be a US$90 billion market by 2045.

Key topics discussed in this webinar include:
  • Micro EVs and their role in the changing mobility landscape
  • Up-to-date sales trends for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and microcars
  • Key micro EV OEMs and product benchmarking
  • Li-ion vs. Pb-acid battery comparisons across global markets
