About 20 companies make or will soon make electric aircraft. Nearly all are pure electric and fixed wing, the motorised hang glider and the self-launching sailplane being typical with one hour endurance. A bigger value market being addressed is training planes and bigger still will be hybrid fixed wing and vertical take-off aircraft hybrid and pure electric with the pure electric ones only managing 30 minutes. In this webinar we discuss possible uses, improvements and other types too.
This webinar shares some of the research carried out this year for the new IDTechEx report Manned Electric Aircraft 2016-2031 and will include:
- Why both hybrid and pure electric aircraft are needed and progress so far
- Why small manned electric aircraft will be a $24 billion business in 2031 - technology roadmap
- How large More Electric Aircraft (MEA) will be a much larger business
- How MEA progress to electric traction
