Dr Felix Wei Technology Analyst

Dr Felix Wei is a Technology Analyst with expertise in biomaterials science and tissue engineering. Felix holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and a MEng from Imperial College London. At IDTechEx, Felix carries out research across advanced biomaterials and biomanufacturing.

Felix has a PhD in Materials Science from the University of Cambridge. His research was dedicated to developing collagen-based medical materials and bioreactors for lung and bone tissue engineering. His work led to two first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals and a patent for a novel method for applying multi-axial mechanical stimulation to cells and tissues.

 

Felix received his MEng degree in Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering from Imperial College London, where he was named on the Dean's list each year. He also completed a research placement at Massachusetts Institute for Technology focusing on biomimetic hydrogels.

Felix focuses on the fields of biomaterials and tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, biomimetic materials, and biomanufacturing.
