Connected Energy (CE) are headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. The company operates in Europe to provide and enable second-life battery energy storage systems (BESS) and began working in this market in 2013. Connected Energy has collaborative relationships with multiple EV OEMs including Renault, Jaguar Land Rover and Nissan. Since 2016 Connected Energy has been selling its E-STOR technology that utilises second life EV batteries to provide stationary energy storage largely for use by industrial and commercial customers. E-STOR systems ranging from 60kW to 1.2MW are already in operation and Connected Energy is now scaling these up for systems and projects of around 20 MW.
