Stryker
Founded in 1941, Stryker is one of the leading manufacturers of surgical equipment and medical devices in orthopedics and neurotechnology. Styker entered the hip and knee market by acquiring Osteonics Corp. in 1979. In 1998, Stryker acquired Howmedica, the orthopedics division of Pfizer, for US$ 1.9 billion, doubling the company's size.

The Kalamazoo, Michigan-based medical technology company Stryker had its Mako Robotic-Arm Assisted Surgery system on show at Arab Health 2020. Its three core functions help achieve functional implant positioning for knee and hip surgery.

For medical/hospital beds, they have a cross-licensing deal with Stryker. This means Stryker has access to all their patents and will help protect these patents.
Stryker and its partners are expected to order a large number of products (monitors and smart beds) in H2 of 2013 and on into 2014.
