Dr. Vassilis D.Binas: He graduated from the Department of Chemistry at the University of Ioannina in 2005. He obtained his M.Sc. degree from Department of Chemistry of University of Crete, on: "Synthesis and Characterization of Metal Oxides for Catalytic Application". Dr. V. Binas obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry of Crete University in 2010. His Ph.D. was on "Synthesis and Characterization of Novel Nanoporous materials for Adsorption and Catalytic applications". Currently he is a Post - Doctoral Researcher at TCM&D lab (Transparent Conductive Materials & Devices Lab) at IESL/FORTH, Crete, working on powders and thin film fabrication as well as on the chemical synthesis of transition metal oxides and characterization techniques for material and devices with emphasis on Gas Sensing and Photocatalytic Applications.
