Steve Hudson has over 25 years leadership experience and demonstrated success in start-ups and corporations involved in the Internet of Things (IoT), software and telecommunications.

As president of View Technologies, a joint venture by Stanley Black & Decker and RF Controls, Hudson provides the strategic vision and management oversight to deliver commercial excellence and superior financial results for the company.

Prior to View Technologies, Hudson was a founding executive of Omnilink, a leading provider of machine-to-machine (M2M) tracking and monitoring solutions. As Chief Development Officer, Hudson led corporate strategy, marketing, business development, and carrier relations. Under his leadership, the commercial division expanded Omnilink's portfolio of location-based services and IoT offerings to thousands of partner sales teams within Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T retail and business direct channels. Omnilink was acquired by Numerex in May 2013.

Prior to joining Omnilink, Hudson was with Sprint PCS for eight years where he rose to senior manager of strategic business development. At Sprint, he helped drive the emergence of the company's wireless Private Label Services Group and managed business development for its location-based services initiative.

Hudson holds a master's degree in business administration from Rockhurst University and dual bachelor's degrees in business marketing and management from Kansas State University.

Hudson is a co-chair for the Commnexus IoT Special Interest Group, serves on the advisory board of the Auburn RFID Lab, member of the RAIN RFID Marketing working group, and regularly contributes to industry-related articles and books, including "Silent Intelligence: The Internet of Things" (DND Ventures LLC, September 2013).
