Connet manufacture fiber lasers for LiDAR applications and specializes in high-value LiDAR. Established in 2007 and now has 70 employees; newer company than NP Phonics but larger. No expertise in products optimized for gas sensing; no expertise in supercontinuum fiber laser development.

Connet manufacture fiber lasers for LiDAR applications. Specializes in high-value LiDAR but is interested in the automotive market. Commercially less successful than Lumibird but strong customer base in China. Established in 2007 and now have 70 employees; smaller and newer company than Lumibird. Potentially a major competitor within the next decade.
