Founded in 2011 by Yi-Hsin Lin in Taiwan, Liqxtal Technology Inc specializes in developing electrically tuneable liquid crystal (LC) based spectacles as a means of improving human vision. Liqxtal is a subsidiary of Himax Technologies and was acquired to strengthen the company's competitiveness in the head-mounted displays (HMDs) space.
