Schaeffler

Schaeffler is simultaneously launching several new electric axle drives (electric axles). With the so-called 4in1 electric axle, Schaeffler is now going one step further by integrating the thermal management system as well as the electric motor, power electronics, and transmission into the axle drive.

Schaeffler has invested more than 500 million euros in research, development and production of electric drive units by 2020.

The Commercial Vehicles International Conference is a biennial event arranged by the Association of German Engineers (VDI). The 15th iteration of this conference was held at the Kongresshaus in Baden-Baden, Germany on the 4th and 5th of June 2019. The conference featured a total of 34 speeches and keynotes, with sessions on Electrification; Vehicle Concepts; Automated Driving; Connectivity; Safety and Smart Logistics. Companies represented at the conference included: Daimler, MAN, Schaeffler, ZF, WABCO, Robert Bosch, Magna, FlixBus, AVL and Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe.
