RFID for Thailand Shrimp
Nov 29, 2005
Thailand will pioneer the use of radio frequency identification (RFID) technology in a food traceability system for the shrimp industry.
Two major shrimp exporters, Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) and Chanthaburi Frozen Food, have invested around 10 million baht to implement RFID applications in coming food traceability trials.
Access the IDTechEx RFID Knowledgebase www.rfidbase.com with 1600 case studies of RFID in action including ones in Thailand and over 500 concerning food and livestock. This is the world's largest RFID case study database by a big margin with 60 or more added each month.
Food Traceability 2006 conference will be held on February 1-2 2006 in Dallas, USA. This hot topic is driven by health scares, bioterrorism and new laws. It will become the largest RFID application but we cover DNA and many other vital technologies as well. For further details please visit www.trackingfood.com
