ZeroValent NanoMetals (ZVNM) is developing applications for its 2-3nm nanoparticles of transition metals (Cu, Ni, Ti, Fe, Zn, Co) and their alloys. Their initial products are conventionally printable materials based on very small diameter nanoparticles of transition metals where copper is the most developed. The depressed melting points mean that high conductivities and smooth surfaces can be produced when heating to 150C, enabling use on thermally fragile substrates.

In the search for sustainable energy storage, researchers present a new concept to fabricate high-performance electrode materials for sodium batteries. It is based on a novel type of graphene to store one of the world's most common and cheap metal ions - sodium. The results show that the capacity can match today's lithium-ion batteries.
