Underground Battery Electric Vehicles for BHP Potash Project in Canada
Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions has secured an order of Battery Electric Vehicles from BHP for the Jansen Potash Project, located in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Jansen Stage 1 is being designed with a focus on sustainability and technology and the battery-electric loaders will be used in the most advanced potash-mine in the world.

Altris to Manufacture Ground-breaking Cathode Material in Sweden
Sodium-ion battery cathode producer Altris AB has today signed a deal with AB Sandvik Materials Technology to house the company's first industrial scale manufacturing facility in Sandviken. The new facility, called 'Ferrum', will have the annual capacity to produce 2000 metric tonnes of Altris' ground-breaking cathode material Fennac - enabling 1GWh of sustainable sodium-ion batteries to enter the market each year.
