Many key functions within existing vehicles are powered as parasitic losses from the internal combustion engine. Fleet electrification and automation are two megatrends which are driving a migration to the electrification of these systems. Electrification offers internal combustion engine independence, improved efficiency, and easier interfacing with the electric control systems that will facilitate automation.
