A critical factor to attain high photovoltage is to control the recombination of carriers is separate nanoscale intermixed phases. Basic models of electron transfer are discussed in relation to the performance of the solar cells, and we also consider the limiting factors for the actual values of photovoltage in relation with theoreticla limits.
