Speaker Biography (Chan Im)Chan Im studied chemistry in Marburg, Germany where he earned his Ph.D. in 2002 with a thesis about "optoelectronic properties of π-conjugated polymers". In 2002 he joined the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (MPI-P) as a project leader for polymer LED & ultra fast spectroscopy group. In 2004 He became Professor for physical chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, Konkuk University in Seoul, Korea. Since 2009, he is Director of the Konkuk University:MAT - Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems Next Generation Solar Cells Research Center (KFnSC) in Seoul, Korea. Company Profile (Flexible Display Roll to Roll Research Center(FDRC))![]() Flexible Display Roll to Roll Research Center(FDRC), founded in 1995 and financially supported by the Seoul Metropolitan Government , the Ministry of Science and Technology, and many companies, constructed the e-Printing Cluster and the KU-VTT Joint Lab in 2006 and 2007 respectively with over 150 researchers. FDRC seeks matching technologies to make technology convergence possible among ink, substrate, patterning, process, control, and system integration. Matching technology includes impedance matching, chemical matching, time matching, geometric matching, etc. With this technology, roll-to-roll manufacturing systems for the printed devices are designed and manufactured with the companies that are collaborating with FDRC. |
