While adoption of metal AM increases, implementation on the production level is still challenging. Part variance, low yield and throughput, extensive post processing, questionable cost of parts and cost of ownership are just some of the challenges. In this presentation, the Tatjana will review: • limitations and challenges of current AM practices • Innovations in metal additive • New design methodologies such as generative design, optimization Speaker Biography (Tatjana Dzambazova)Tatjana is director of product management at Velo3D, helping scientists and engineers push the limits of metal additive manufacturing. She has spent two decades working in the digital design industry and was Autodesk's first product manager for Revit and a pioneer evangelist of the BIM approach. During the Maker movement, she launched Autodesk's consumer group, promoting digital fabrication and 3D printing. Tatjana has presented at conferences around the world, including TEDx and FoST on the convergence of technology trends and their impact on the future of design and manufacturing, covering Generative Design, Additive Manufacturing, IoT, Robotics and Machine learning. Company Profile (Velo3D)![]() Velo3D develops end-to-end solutions for metal additive manufacturing, including metal printing systems, physical simulation-based print preparation software, and an adaptive manufacturing process. Velo3D solutions accelerate innovation by enabling system developers to design the most imaginative parts, and manufacture cost-effective solutions, eliminating the constraints of traditional manufacturing technologies. |
