Speaker Biography (Tony Killard)Dr. Anthony J. Killard is Principal Investigator at the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute and National Centre for Sensor Research, Dublin City University. He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin (1993) and Dublin City University (1998). His main areas of interest are in the use of conducting polymers for the development of electrochemical sensors and their integration with printed electronics and diagnostic devices. These devices are targeted at Point of Care applications: these include near-patient testing, self-testing in the home, and diagnosis of disease in the low-resource environments of the developing world. |
