Speaker Biography (Stuart Spitzer)

Dr. Spitzer has over 45 years of Semiconductor Research & Development experience in Microelectronics with organizations such as NASA, Bell Laboratories, ITT, Polaroid, AMD, and Konarka. Responsibilities and areas of expertise include design and operation of microelectronics facilities, process and device design for silicon integrated circuits, solid state lasers, LED's, CCD image sensors, and organic electronics including non-volatile memory and photovoltaic devices.
 
Dr. Spitzer was VP of Engineering at Konarka Technologies, where he managed materials development, device design, pilot production, and test and characterization of flexible organic solar cells. He led product development of organic and polymeric photovoltaic technology.
 
Dr. Spitzer holds the BS, MS and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Materials Science from MIT. He is the author of many presentations, of numerous technical articles and patents, and has many professional affiliations.
